We came here to celebrate my friend Sade's birthday! We were 30 minutes late and were told that the kitchen was closed by the security at the door, however upon entering, the host was able to speak with one of the staff that handles the kitchen and they squeezed us in! I was so pleased with their hospitality and was very happy that let us eat because we were all starving and it was my friends birthday celebration! It would've sucked to come all this way just to be turned away. Dinner was really delicious, after seeing the steak that the birthday girl ordered, I wish I would've gotten that instead, but my food was really good too! We ate dinner, had beautiful conversation, and then headed to their open area to have some drinks, listen to the music, and just chill. I like that they have a party area separate from the dining area. This allows for you to have a nice intimate dinner and then go turn up right after, without ever having to leave!

I came here for the first time for Yelp's Summer Kick off event which might be a different experience than coming during normal business hours. This place is very spacious and there was plenty of space to lounge inside the gazebo or to sit outside by the beach. They have a man made beach, sand and all right there in Dyckman! The views were amazing, you are surrounded by water and have the George Washington bridge as the backdrop. Great spot for picture taking! I can't comment on the food or prices since there was delicious food from several restaurants at the various stations for the event. The bartenders were all very friendly and attentive as was the rest of the staff we interacted with. Based on my experience I would definitely want to come back this summer!

La Marina is a stable in the Inwood section of Manhattan. This spot was key in the boom of other restaurants and bars that developed in the neighborhood. I honestly think this still may be one of the best venues in all of NYC, based on looks and location. I've had dinner here a few times and it was decent. Nothing too special, definitely a little pricey. I've been to some great events here held on their man made beach area. Definitely a place worth checking out if you don't mind making the trip.

We came here for Sunday brunch. The menu wasn't crazy appealing nor did it have any drink specials, but there was a good view and a good vibe. Our waiter was attentive and sociable. I'm sad to see it will be closed when I go visit again next month.

New Year at LA MARINA!!!!! I know I am late with this but, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I came here for a New Years Eve celebration and I had a lot of fun... danced the night away! Awesome vibes! Fun, fun, fun! *** BE READY TO SPEND MONEY!!! When we first arrived, we were told we needed to put down $600 for a table. My first thought was that they are crazy! Then, you realize how fast $600 goes in a place like this... the Moet bottle alone was over half the minimum; it was $340, and then add the other drinks!!! $600 goes fast! Of course, the views were nothing short of amazing!
